We had a fun 4th of July weekend. Barry's sister Amanda came up with her family so we spent most of our time with them and the rest of the family. On the 4th we went to Barry's parents for a BBQ. Their backyard is wonderfully shady so we stayed outside most of the time. Owen got the best of both worlds, playing outside and playing with his cousins. Owen got to swing, play in the sandbox, and slide down the little slide. In the picture, Owen is playing with his cousins Noah and Taylor. (Thanks Allison!)
We didn't go to the big firework show. We would have ended up chasing down Owen and struggling to hold him. Luckily we had the perfect vantage point from our backyard to see the Rigby fireworks they shot from the lake on the 3rd.
On the 5th, we went to Barry's brother David's home and had homemade pizza and homemade ice cream. Owen decided he wanted to go for a little swim and went head first into the kiddy pool (Thanks to Uncle David for saving him! No thanks to Daddy!) We got him interested in some other outside toys instead. That night we shot off some fireworks from their house.
Sunday we had cake & ice cream for Grandpa Clinger's birthday. It was so wonderful to see and talk to everyone. Later we went over to Barry's parents for cake & ice cream for our nephew Noah. We played volleyball with Barry's siblings and it was soooo fun! Yesterday was Grandma Olsen's birthday so we went to see her too.
All in all we had a busy but great 4th of July weekend!
